All students interested in the Drum Major position, should also prepare to conduct the following during the interview:

Mr. Campbell will look at the following when inviting candidates to be apart of the 2019-2020 leadership team:

1. Past History - On a daily basis, do you LEAD by example? In other words, do you walk the walk and talk the talk? 

2. Musicianship - Do you hold yourself to a high musical standard?

3. Preparedness for Interview - Be confident and articulate.

4. Answers to Interview Questions - Do your answers align with what is best for our band members and program?

5. Conducting - *Only students interested in being considered for the Drum Major position.

Some, but not ALL of the interview questions:

1. "We lose what we don't use." In reference to being a leader, what does this mean to you?

2. Great leaders embody a high energy level, exemplifying optimism. How and why is this important?

3. What are 3 characteristics of a high quality leader? Briefly explain.

4. What are 3 strengths that will best prepare you for a leadership role? 3 weaknesses?

5. Why do you want to be a leader of the 2019-2020 JICHS Pep Band?
